What exactly are types 6 and 17? I have ipchains turned off and using a smc
firewall with port 53 udp forwarded on both ends. Is this sufficient? It
works one way, not the other..?

Thanks,
Jake

No.

That should be fine. You're using keys, and everything works fine, right?

Check your firewalls again. Port 53 needs types 6 and 17 open on both ends,
even if only to each other for UDP. If this doesn't work, try the bind list,
but I'd be suprised if it's a compatibility problem between versions.
