Hi,
Update pushed to
https://www.kraxel.org/cgit/qemu/log/?h=work/input-dev-event, two new
patches to add logging (append ",log=on" to enable).
Also worth trying is to add a virtual usb mouse (-device usb-mouse) and
see if that works better, maybe the ps/2 mouse queue overflows and the
guest runs out-of-sync then.
cheers,
Gerd
Hi Gerd,
I retried your patches again. Last time I was using a hero that has a companion (Lone Druid) which I need to hold Left Ctrl button almost all of the time (OK, probably there are other better strategies than this), but just now I used other hero (Phantom Lancer) and actually the input passthrough (mouse and keyboard are both on USB) went pretty well. No lag, no display freeze, just normal smooth.
After 20 minutes of gameplay, I decided to quit the match (bot match) and try Lone Druid again. Just as soon as I start holding down Left Ctrl button, there are certain lag (video lag) happened, and sometimes the passthrough mouse is not detected anymore. Probably there are relation between the hotkey (Left Ctrl + Right Ctrl) and holding Left Ctrl button for a certain amount of time?
