[vfio-users] UEFI Win7 VM randomly does not start

Hi all,

I have the problem that my UEFI VM for a Windows 7 guest does not always
starts properly. When it doesn´t work I have to try it again and finally it
will work after something between 3 to 6 attempts. The only error message
is:
qemu-system-x86_64: Guest moved used index from 13 to 0

But the numbers will differ at each attempt.

You can find my start up script here: http://pastebin.com/yWubnz9Y

cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-linux-vfio
root=UUID=98f9455d-0b0a-4911-817f-12aab5feddbe rw quiet intel_iommu=on
hugepagesz=2MB hugepages=4100 pci-stub.ids=10de:1187,10de:0e0a,1102:0012,8
086:1c2d,1b6f:7023 pcie_acs_override=downstream

Kernel Version: 4.1.5-1-vfio
Qemu Version: 2.4
dmesg output: http://pastebin.com/4B5hRFcM

Month ago I had a seabios setup and I didn´t had this issue there. I switch
to UEFI so I don´t need the i915 arbiter patch.

Anyway if the VM started, it´s very stable. No crashes or similar.

Does someone have any idea why those crashes happen or how I could fix this?

Regards
Alex
