I found it annoying that I had to register my card, including the serial
number, and only then could I file a support ticket to get a UEFI ROM for
my GTX660 from EVGA.  I really would have preferred that it was just
available for download.  On the other hand, I got a reply quickly that
included the necessary update file without any back and forth, and it
worked.  I suppose raising the bar to that level avoids a lot of users
grabbing the update and flashing their card for no reason.

Good to know.  Somehow I often seem to end up picking Asus for
motherboards, but I generally have a few negative experiences with each and
every one.
