I'm getting a very similar problem in a similar setup. Fedora 25,
Windows 10 VM, Nvidia GTX1050 GPU. This worked until recently but I had
to rebuild the VM after a crash and now I'm getting the code 43 error.

I don't see anything obvious in dmesg but perhaps a hint as to what to
look for would help. I'm using a recent kernel (4.10.6).
