I'm running QEMU 3.1 on Ubuntu (kernel 5.0.0-15-lowlatency) and receive the
following error when starting a VM with a passed through video card:

Jun 2 17:43:17 livingroom kernel: [ 138.519329] BUG: unable to handle
kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000501

kworker/11:3 Tainted: P OE 5.0.0-15-lowlatency #16-Ubuntu

Full dmesg trace: https://pastebin.com/ZaeqtKM2

The card I am passing through is an MSI Nvidia 2080 Ventus on a Gigabyte
Z390 Aorus Ultra.

There is a similar report [1], but the issue was related to USB, and mine
seems related to snd_hda_codec_hdmi.

Any suggestions on how to correct this behavior?

Thanks,
Brett
