[virt-tools-list] why -no-kvm flag?

I've upgraded qemu-kvm to 0.12.2, (as well as virt-manager: 0.8.2, and
virtinst 0.500.1) and noticed
all virtual machines are extremely slow.
I noticed the qemu is now started using /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 with
-no-kvm switch.

I'm guessing this is working in full emulation mode and no hardware support,
which explains
the slowness.

What affects the selection of the -no-kvm switch? What do I need to do to
get it working
properly again?

Thanks,
Dan
