There are, however, some improvements being made to reduce some of this
pain.  For example, 0.9.13 added virConnectListAllDomains, which greatly
reduces the number of round trips needed for listing the names of all
domains.  It may be also worth designing an API for batching together
other API into a single RPC call, for example making it possible to
iterate over an array of virDomainPtr in one API call instead of having
to make one RPC call per domain pointer to do the same action on each
domain in the array (such as the action of querying status).
