Yes, I'm planning to add that API :).  There is another feature that would
be useful to add, either add a new flag for virStorageVolCreateXMLFrom to
allow override existing image or add virStorageVolCopy, which would just
copy content of existing volume into another existing volume.  This would
be useful for cloning VM in virt-manager on remote connection if the VM
has SCSI/iSCSI disk.
