Actually, why not replace linuxconf with something better?  Like Redhat
Control panel for being able to set whatever options you want to include.
Even have it setup so you make it only have stuff that *the user* wants it
to do.

Maybe that will take away lot of the problems people are having with it, and
at same time still give just one program to do everything and make things
easier for everyone.
