up2date no longer works...

Hey all,
I've gone through the list archives, but it hasn't been any help. I
updated up2date to 2.4.4-1 because I was running into the errors reported
before (couldn't find certain .py files, etc). Anyway, now I'm getting
the Invalid architecture error. I tried removing the up2date file, and
retrying it same error.
Any new ideas on how to correct this problem? I've already tried
everything posted on the archive list (for March anyway).

Thanks,
Tom
