Currently, Ctrl-Enter moves to immediate next string (thus if it is last entry, it moves to next page). If toggling it in preference as "ctrl-enter does not move to next page", then won't it change its behaviour to 'not move to immediate next and stay' as well? If this is true, it is not nice. Btw, now setting page size to '50' as user's default available, and this bug now annoy me less. If no one other than me do care this bug, I am happy to close as 'won't fix'. If so, I think we could handle this by adding a new rule: for any project which has a type, its versions must have a non-null type. This rule would then require that the project version page prevent saving unless the project type is non-null. This would also require a data migration to ensure that any such project versions are updated to copy the project's projectType. Together, these changes should both clean up the data (slightly) and prevent this GUI issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. Apparently Hibernate's dirtiness detection isn't triggered when using field-based reflection from Seam's IdentityManager.enableUser() and grantRole() (probably because they never call *any* methods on the entities). Moving the relevant Seam annotations for HAccount from the fields (HAccount.enabled and HAccount.roles) back to accessor methods seems to fix it. However, due to https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-3718 the use of field access for the id field of entities could be causing a performance problem by preventing lazy loading. See also http://blog.xebia.com/2009/06/13/jpa-implementation-patterns-field-access-vs-property-access/ and http://stackoverflow.com/a/3739197/14379 I suggest we try field access again for Zanata 3.2, but with annotated methods and property access just for the Seam identity properties and for all the entity id fields. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1017531 Bug ID: 1017531 Summary: Stats display Words/Msg toggle is confusing and does not appear to do anything. Product: Zanata Version: 3.0 Component: Usability Severity: medium Assignee: irooskov at redhat.com Reporter: damason at redhat.com QA Contact: zanata-qa at redhat.com CC: zanata-bugs at redhat.com Description of problem: In translation editor, a stats display is shown near the top right of the page with a coloured bar, a percentage, estimated translation time, and the word "Words" or "Msg". Clicking "Words" or "Msg" toggles between the two. This is confusing because it looks like the label for the stats bar is something like "99% (1.4hrs) Words", which is meaningless as an English sentence. Also, the word "Words" has the same appearance as the other text, so there is no clue that it can be clicked to toggle anything. This should be removed or changed so that it is not confusing. Agreed. We could put something like a clock icon before the remaining hours, and remove the parens: [|||| ] 90% of Words (?) 1.5 hrs Where (?) is a clock icon with a tooltip like "Remaining translation time" > > - add a tooltip to "Words" and "Msg" indicating what happens when it is > > clicked. e.g. > > Showing percentage of words translated. > > Click to change to percentage of messages translated. > > If it's obvious that Words and Msg are clickable, I don't think the tooltips > will add anything. My thinking is that if it looks like a link, users may be afraid to click it and be navigated away from the page they're viewing - a tooltip would provide reassurance that clicking is a safe operation that won't lose their place. We could also just go for a presentation would not be easily confused with navigation, e.g. make the whole "X% of Words" unroll on mouseover (or touch) to show both percentages: X% of Words Y% of Messages and make clicking change which is visible by default. > Come to think of it, if we use Words (plural), we should use Msgs, not Msg. Step to reproduced: 1. Use generic open to register 2. Fill the registration form, and click *Save*. 3. Make the activation link expire by waiting for 24 hours or modify the database. 4. User log in Expected: Redirect to Inactivated user page Actual: Nothing happend 2. Disabled user (User disabled by admin): Admin wants to stop the mischievous users and set the disable flag. The users should NOT be able to reach the inactive account page. Step to reproduced: 1. Admin disable an user account. 2. Log in as that user. Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020185 Bug ID: 1020185 Summary: Failed to show Chinese characters in server monitor (Java Melody) diagrams. The Chinese characters in Java melody diagrams are shown as boxes. Chinese in tooltips are shown properly though. This suggest that server cannot found any Chinese fonts. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Zanata version 3.1.1-SNAPSHOT (20131017-1642) How reproducible: Always, if no Chinese fonts are installed in server. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure no Chinese fonts are installed in Zanata server. 2. Browser locale set to Chinese 3. Sign in with admin role 4. Go to Administration menu -> Server Monitoring Actual results: Chinese characters are shown as boxes, as demonstrated in https://code.google.com/p/javamelody/issues/detail?id=150 Expected results: Chinese charters are shown properly. Additional info: The "most proper" way to address this bug is include the font installation section in installation or administration guide. It appears that the connections are being retained deliberately by the DataSource, not leaked, because there are no warning messages in the log such as "Trying to return an unknown connection2!". Also, several of the connections were created at the same time, which may suggest that they were created to expand a connection pool (unless they *all* happened to leak at the same time). Looking at the stack traces, I can't find any suspicous code (eg ResultSet handling) that would explain such a leak. Unless we actually run out of connections (or get the above warning message again), I think we'll have to assume it's behaving normally. I think it's just normal DataSource connection pool behaviour. However, if we get the above log warning, or a server failure like "javax.resource.ResourceException: IJ000655: No managed connections available within configured blocking timeout" or "javax.resource.ResourceException: IJ000453: Unable to get managed connection for ..." we should create a new bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. Considering that a large block of text is an unusual (though supported) use case for translating documents, validations could be reasonably expected to behave differently, e.g - Longer timeouts on input breaks, - Longer forced timeouts, or - Forced manual validation This would raise a few questions as to what is a "big" block of text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. We don't need them. We can just wait until the user stops typing, then do the validation. We should probably look at optimising the slowest validations too, but that should be separate. Also, when the validation takes more than a second, we should display something to let the user know what's happening. And perhaps we can break the work into multiple pieces to avoid hurting interactivity: http://stackoverflow.com/a/15284868/14379 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1023258 --- Comment #5 from Sean Flanigan --- The problem is that Zanata has been copying translations based on the highest ID, which is equivalent to selecting translations based on their creation time. We should have been using their modification time instead. This is what we think happened: Strings A1 and B1 were uploaded to the Master version in Zanata and translated there, with translation bugs. Branch 3.2 created, strings A2 and B2 uploaded, copied from Master with bugs. QA event #1: String A2's translation is corrected *in Branch 3.2*. The creation time and ID are unchanged, but the modification time is updated. The buggy translation is still in A1 in Master. QA event #2: String B1's translation is corrected *in Master*. The creation time and ID are unchanged, but the modification time is updated. The buggy translation is still in B2 in Branch 3.2. If CopyTrans is run at this point, it will select A2 and B2 from Branch 3.2 because their IDs are higher than the Master versions. It should instead select A2 and B1, because they were the most recently modified. NB: If CopyTrans is run at this point, it will copy A2 and B2 to create A3 and B3. After that happens, even a fixed version of CopyTrans would copy these strings (one of them buggy), because they are the most recently modified. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1023258 --- Comment #6 from Carlos Munoz --- Bug-Fix implemented. See: https://github.com/zanata/zanata-server/pull/253 Technical details: This fix will mean a slight performance hit for copy trans, but it should be negligible on smaller documents. It also means it's a bit more scalable as the query done to perform copy trans will only return a single "best" result for a text flow. Testing notes: Although unit tests are taking care of numerous 'simple' scenarios for copy trans, maybe we should try and set up some manual tests for other more complex ones. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
