We are in IRC channel Freenode #zanata.
For feedback and bug report, https://zanata.atlassian.net/
Or in this mailing list.
I try to use the Docker images (https://github.com/zanata/docker-images),

Our docker image is still in experimental stage at the moment but we will
look into that issue that will keep you posted.
I would like to use the UTF-8 properties files, But it would be really

Can you explain more on how you wish to use them in API?
With "File" project type, we do support them in rest api,
https://zanata.ci.cloudbees.com/job/zanata-api-site/site/zanata-common-api/rest-api-docs/resource_FileResource.html
But with "properties" project type, we only support them in cli.
Is there a documentation for properties files, (how to provide a context

We do support it if you're using *properties* or *utf8properties* project
type
By using comment tag in properties file line before string:
#my context here
string_key=value
