Hi Adrian,
I saw your message on #zanata freenode. Glossary is like translation memory. You can upload glossary in po format or as csv file. Take a look at two example files below:

FUEL: https://github.com/zanata/zanata-client/blob/master/zanata-maven-plugin/demo-glossary/fuel/fuel_hi.po
Once glossary is uploaded, it's available globally and can be seen in translation editor (besides translation memory panel). If works the same way as translation memory. i.e. search similar content for users to reuse translation.
You can view how many glossary entries are available in a Zanata instance by clicking Glossary menu item. You need to have glossarist role to be able to upload your own glossary file. You will need glossary-admin role to be able to delete.
