Hi Sebastian,

Regarding your question in IRC:

Zanata does support source document using a different language other than
en-US. But you will need to use the zanata client (zanata-cli or maven
client) to push your document into zanata server. If you upload using web
UI you won't have that option.

To use zanata-cli to push your source document:
zanata-cli push --src-lang de

The alpha editor will always display source language as "ENGLISH EN-US"
which is something we will work on in the upcoming releases. If you push
source document like above, it would display the content correctly in the
editor and you can start translating. From Zanata's perspective, it doesn't
care what your source language is as long as it's using unicode. Hope this
