yum update troubles

Hi,

I've just installed FC1 for x86_64. The problem is, I can't update my
fresh installation:

[root at lisa root]# yum update
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 1 - x86_64 - Base
Server: Fedora Core 1 - x86_64 - Released Updates
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Resolving dependencies
.Package xchat needs /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.1/x86_64-linux-thread-multi, this is not available.
[root at lisa root]#

PS. Another thing. I had an i386 installation on this disk
before. When installing, I tried to upgrade ("crossgrade?") the old
ia32 installation (despite the warning requester). It didn't work, but
it would have been nice if it had.
