OT: Partition table lost

'mount' is not looking at any partition tables.  It talks to a kernel
and from what you are saying your kernel knows about these partitions.
The same story should be with 'e2fsck'.  The only thing above which
has to know about partition tables is 'fdisk' because it manipulates
these.

We still cannot squeeze out of you an information what type these
partition tables are supposed to be.  Anyway, you should also have
'parted' and that tools recognizes many different kinds of partitioning.

What all of this has to do with AXP?
