Well, let's just say that "anaconda" had/has its own ideas about what
driver is best to run with which card... ;-}

I know that in RH7.2-Alpha it chooses "ncr53x8xx" for the NCR895, even
though the "sym53c8xx" is a much more advanced driver for it.  I
believe it was a matter of stability, at the original release of
RH7.2-i386 time, that was the cause for that choice being programmed
in.

I didn't remember what it would choose for the NCR875, but I just
tried it and it was "sym53c8xx".

As it turns out, it already IS the sym53c8xx_2 driver that is
built/loaded under AC-0.9; its module is just named "sym53c8xx"
(ie without the "_2") and that is what's being reported during
the install's boot-up messages.

So, it's already using the best driver available for that card...
