Following up:  The most recent boot ISO correctly recognizes and 
initializes the Permedia card <g>.  Interestingly, xorgcfg under Gentoo 
fails miserably at this (I loose all console output in addition to having 
no X display), while RedHat 7.2 resorts to the framebuffer driver.

I'm REALLY looking forward to the first ISO release of AC1.0.
