Yes, that sounds right, WRT an SRM version that has the driver...

Sigh... :-(

The 895 is U2W, but IIRC you were having trouble with it because of a
missing or "incorrect to T64" PROM, right?

The ones I've seen around here are labelled:

	SYM8952U
	SYM8951U

and I'd assume are ones that'd work with T64.

LSI Logic was our source for these, IIRC, and prolly still have some
that are qualified with T64; but then, that's maybe why you mention
"reasonably proced"... ;-}

I'm afraid that V5.8 may not have Adaptec support beyond 2940UW, if
that, though the V5.9 in LX/SX does support 39160 (dual U160), though
not 29160 of any flavor.

Sorry; I know this is a frustrating area for MANY folks, and I don't
have any good answers... :-\
