Yes, I saw that too; DRI can stay enabled, but if you do something that
performs 3D, it WILL crash the server, as you found out.

Yes, I saw the pretty much the same exact trace here...

Ah; care to share? Is it by commenting out the 'Load "glx"' line?
That's a bit of "the big hammer", isn't it?

If you do that, you can still run OpenGL things in software
emulation mode (read: SLOW!).

No, I think you are seeing just what I saw, only I didn't report
