Hardware compat with Fc8

Following your notes from april, doing a yum clean all, then yum update -
i get 126 packages to update including this -

Transaction Check Error:
  file /usr/share/applnk/.hidden/.directory conflicts between attempted 
installs of kde-filesystem-4-14.fc8.noarch and kdebase-3.5.8-32.fc8.alpha

and i don't need or want kde or gnome, this is a server...
