Hello,

I can confirm that *some* 256MB ECC memory modules work on 164LX, but 
some do not. The 256MB memory modules should be as follows:

* (SDR) SDRAM DIMM
* width 72 bits (i.e. ECC capable)
* not buffered / not registered
* max clock rate of 100 MHz is sufficient, higher should be ok
* each DIMM has 18 chips of 128 Mbits
* each chip organized as 16M addresses x 8 bits

As specific examples that I have tested:

* Kingston KVR100X72C2/256 works ok.
* Kingston KVR133X72C3/256 does not work, due to wrong layout.
