running windows on linux with speech?

hello I am wanting to switch to linux but need access to some windows aps.
was wondering if any one has gotten jaws, or window eyes to work under linux using either virtual machine's, or wine?
if so whitch one, and what screen reader, and what was performance like?
my spects on this machine are p4 2.4 ghz, 512 meg ram 20 gb hd
