If you're using something a little less brain-damaged than
HyperTerm, that can act as something smarter than a VT100, then
you can resize it. I just tried from Windows using Putty, which
masquerades as an xterm (and thus sends the WINCH--"window
changed" signal) and resizing worked fine. I don't know if other
terminals are smart enough to do the same when resized, but Lynx
adapted properly. Granted, I had to do a control+L to get it to
refresh at the new size, but it's doable. Handy to have, as
sometimes I want access to a remote browser and my old school
account is down.

The same would apply within an xterm or even within the *nix
"screen" application if you split the window--resizing it would
resize the Lynx terminal, and a ctrl+L will refresh it to the new
size.
