x99 motherboard with linux

Hi.
I've got an x99 motherbord. (asus x99-e ws/usb 3.1)
yesterday I tried to use it with vinux.
But it didn't work. The dvd started to load. I got the option to
install or try vinux.
I selected try vinux. the dvd continued to load. then just a black screen.
Does any of you have a x99 motherboard?
If so how did you get Linux to work?
