any good accessible OCR for linux?

Thanks a million Didier,

Would issuing this command install this package on my desktop? Last 
night when I tried to run Lios It gave me a long message basically 
telling me that I have to install dictionaries for Arabic and other 
languages.

The command it suggested was something like this: "apt-get install ...."
