looking for Lennix distribution?

While it's true enough that Debian Stable can have very outdated
packages, especially when the next release is right around the corner,
I find that switching to the Testing branch of Debian alleviates the
outdatedness with very little loss of stability, and at the moment,
I've been sourcing about 90% of my packages from Debian Unstable and
another 9% from Debian Experimental for several months now without
suffering any breakages that would have me switching back to Testing
until the issue is resolved and pumount was the only package I recall
downgrading to unstable after trying the experimental version.

That said, I'm not sure I can recommend Debian to a Linux beginner,
much less a blind linux beginner, but then again, I'm not sure what to
recommend to a beginner period as I've been using Linux as my main OS
for more than 15 years, XP was the last version of Windows I used with
any regularity and so I feel like I'm too deep in the metaphorical
Kool-Aid to judge any Linux distro from a beginner's perspective and
too out of touch with the world the majority of Linux beginners are
coming from... It's kind of like someone who's been speaking Japanese
daily for 15 years trying to teach Japanese to a modern day american
when they know nothing of language teaching and the only English they
know is that used by Shakespeare.
