We have a call every week named the Cabal where everybody from the team
meets and discuss technical issues, we are fine getting non-Red Hat people
on this call, the meeting is at 8:30 am US Eastern timezone, using the
BlueJeans audio/video conferencing system:
https://bluejeans.com/381583203
Some minutes from the call:
1/ DevAssistant https://www.devassistant.org
Tomas is working on remote access so we can run DA from the CDK
Looking for somebody who can work on the assistant, Tomas started a bit of
the integration of atomicapp but we need to extend the UI and operations:
* what are the use case that we want to add
* Do we want more tools/assistants or put that in the hands of more people to
drive devel based on feedback: right now basic, if one buoild from scratch
* need to be adapted to newer releases
* also the problem is taking an existant app and extending it
* Tomas ready to provide help to people who would develop assistants
* might make sense to transfer ownership of DA in github to someone pushing it.
* Feedback should go to Tomas
2/ Installer
Kenneth Finningan: want to build a set of tools to make it easy for
developper to run on Openshift or locally. Look at Windows installer to
have Eclipse/OpenShift in a vagrant box for Windows first.
See https://github.com/projectatomic/adb-atomic-developer-bundle/issues/77
* provide instructions to Ken on how to install from scratch
* then he can automate
Xavier and Max are working on Eclipse for Docker, Max finally got the CDK to
work on his Mac box easilly.
3/ provider specific operations for atomicapp
there are operation which are provider specific, like update do we want
to try to support them at the atomicapp level ?
* update is a bit controversial, probably out of scope as we don't have enough
understanding of what might have been changed outside of atomicapp scope
* to be discussed at the f2f :-) Navid to open a card and put it in Backlog
about it <https://trello.com/c/OA82HdjA/>
