What particular programs do you have in mind?  I guess in
the long term, the right solution is to get those projects
to move onto using tcl/tk 8.4 if they are still active, or
develop patches for them to run under 8.4.  One day there
will be 8.5...

I'm not sure what you mean by compatibilty package here.

If you mean say tcl83 and tk83 packages providing libtcl and
libtk based on 8.3, then yes it is possible of course:
though there are no plans for that currently.  If there
really were enough demand then it would probably happen,
though you would be the first person I have heard requesting
that.  IMHO it would be a good project for Fedora Extras.

But perhaps you're asking about some kind of backward
compatibility magic for 8.4 to run 8.3 apps?  I don't know
of such a package, but if there is such a thing, would like
to know. :)  I would try asking in a tcl/tk forum about that.
