By convention, we use <application> to refer to graphical apps, such as <application>Firefox</application>, which is supplied by the <package>firefox</package> package.  These lists should really be reworked to not start the sentence with a package name (without capitalization), and possible more marked as <application/> are in fact <package/> or <command/>
