perls SOAP-Lite - can I tell rpm not to include extraneous dependancy?

Whats the procedure? Politely ask the packager to do it, submit those
rpms (assuming they're likely to pass inspection, I haven't looked at
them yet) myself, ... ?

This was the idiom from Jeremy, but I think one of my earlier posts has
a late-model idiom to do the same thing.
