Is this a problem?

Because of the "rolling" nature of the Extras tree.. i feel its
vital..that at least one older version of packages are in the tree for
a period of time after an update is pushed in case an updated package
has a showstopping problem.. so users can fallback to something while
any such problem is worked out and fixed.
