Judging from that that the same fix was published for "enterprise",
and those are much closer to 7.x and 8 releases, then the answer
most likely will be yes.

You probably will fare better by using the latest 7.x source rpm
(which happens to be 'legacy' from January) and applying that fix on
the top of it.  7 and 8 are using etheral version 0.9.16 and not
0.10.3.  I will try to look at that a bit later.
