2.4.22 kernel source for RedHat 8?

To follow up on myself, the query is retracted.
2.6 kernels are sufficiently incompatible with 2.4 systems
that they can't plug-n-play.

If I respond to problems like this (and usb troubles) by going to the
2.6 kernel, is there a location/URL giving a summary of what must be
updated to support the 2.6 kernel?

E.g. modules don't load correctly if just the kernel is updated, as
modprobe and lsmod complain that QM_MODULES is not supported.

(I believe I've got the 2.6 kernel configured roughly right, as I
followed the configuration of previous kernels 2.4.25, 2.4.24, 2.4.22,
 etc.)

The update hasn't gone out yet. There's a number of other issues
that I'm folding into the same update to save everyone multiple
downloads, so this is now going out tomorrow instead.
