IIRC, a bug has been filed to fix this problem.

I think we need to address both.  Fixing mysql won't make the other problems
go away, as they are sure to happen again at some point with some other
application.

And I think that FL is making progress on fixing both problems (patch
managment and mysql failure).  Others may disagree.
