New sendmail and missing /usr/lib/sendmail

That all seems to be there and I didn't notice anything wrong.

Those also appear to be there, but .... there appears to be a
missing link in the /usr/share/man/man8 directory:
sendmail.8.gz -> /etc/alternatives/mta-sendmailman
if my FC3 structure is anything to go by. Manually adding it allows
the "man sendmail" syntax to work.
