Hi

I'm new to this list. I checked the archives and found a similar
question asked, but not answered (I don't think).

I'm trying to upgrade a working system from FC2 to FC3. It's an APPRO
rack server, with dual athlon MP and a 2 channel SCSI which is a
Adaptec AIC-7899P U160/m (aic7xxx). And I have one disk installed with
ID=0 on the first channel.

I get in trouble when I get to the loading aic7xxx stage; and this
happens whether I use expert or noprobe or neither.

Eventually after a long time, it proceeds to the next step, but there
are no disks visible.

I can look at the logs:

followed by unsuccesfull attempts on each the remaining 15+16 ids. At
which points the installer goes to the next screen.

I'm hoping for some advice on what to do.
