Re: "challenge response" to mailing list posts is pointless & rude!



Solve the problem simply. Blacklist everybody who uses such an asinine
annoying system. I do that up in my ~/.procmailrc file. If a person wants
to look like a spammer fishing for addresses I'll be happy to guarantee
that I never see email from that person again. It keeps my blood pressure
down to safe levels.

Challenge Response to a mailing list is stupid. It means I'd have to
answer thousands of challenges each time I posted a message to a new
mailing list. It's such a rude thing to do I figure I want nothing to
do with the individual who is so unthinking as to do this. "Scroom"
