Cannot access USB devices

So there left information from previous install on the system
partition(s)? What's that good for? Hard to say whether that is causing
your current problems, but a good chance.

If your problem is not caused by old and broken configuration files,
then be sure you have the USB legacy mode set off in the motherboard
BIOS.
