FC2 Slow boot after network setup -

There is an excellent chance that your pausing during boot is due to an 
inability to look up your "simple network" ip address in DNS.  Try 
adding an entry to /etc/hosts for the ip address on that network.  You 
can also edit the kernel arguments in your grub menu interactively at 
next boot, removing "rhgb quiet" so you can see what interface or 
service is being started when the delay(s) occur.
