I have a hunch you're running into a chroot environment. Once Anaconda
gets to the %post section of the kickstart script it runs everything in
a chrooted environment /mnt/sysimage. At the end of your kickstart
script add:
"sleep 360"
or disable the reboot, just something so that you can go to console 2
and use bash to look around after your post section has run. Check to
see if the directory /var/nm2 is created or if it is
/mnt/sysimage/var/nm2
