When you have problems with parallel port printers, and you have
options set in /etc/modules.conf, the first thing to try is to comment
them out and see if the kernel's defaults are better than the user
options.

So comment out that options line.

My bet is the dma=3 option is wrong for your hardware.  Did you set
that up yourself?
