Hi,

When I'm running kernel-2.6.16-1.2115_FC4...

lspci output:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 430FX - 82437FX TSC [Triton I]
(rev 01)
00:07.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82371FB PIIX ISA [Triton I] (rev 02)
00:07.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82371FB PIIX IDE [Triton I]
(rev 02)
00:11.0 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900 PCI
Fast Ethernet (rev 02)
00:12.0 Mass storage controller: Silicon Image, Inc. PCI0680 Ultra
ATA-133 Host Controller (rev 02)
00:13.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage Pro (rev 5c)

but when I try running latest kernel-2.6.17-1.2139_FC4...

lspci output:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 430FX - 82437FX TSC [Triton I]
(rev 01)
00:07.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 82371FB PIIX ISA [Triton I] (rev 02)

ATA-133 Host Controller (rev 02)

...the onboard IDE interface thats normally at position [00:07.1] isn't
detected.

My O/S is on disks attatched to an add-in card [at 00:12.0] - its only
my CD-ROM thats plugged into the onboard IDE interface which isn't
accessible.

Any ideas why the onboard IDE interface isnt recognised with the latest
kernel?

Cheers,

Stu.
