I've got a pile of 3c509-Btpo cards around here that I've used with Linux,
etc., for years. But with recent versions of RH linux I find that they
no longer work. It appears that the driver is deprecated and there is
no longer a binary module shipped with RH. As far as I can tell, this
is the case with FC4 as well as RHEL and its clones. My guess is that
old ISA devices are being phased out.

Rather than fight with it I've just replaced them, as upgrades became
necessary, with other cards. I've had a couple of old 3c905 cards around
that still work, and I've picked up a few $10 cheapie Realtec 8139 cards,
which seem to work great.

                         While we were still sinners,
                              Christ died for us.
