I think that FC grub does not use initrd or has some limitations about
it - can not mount reiserfs.
General difference of these bootloaders is that grub mounts fs with
kernel and initrd and then loads it as files; lilo writes physical
adresses of vmlinuz and initrd and calls it this way. Therefore lilo
does not need to mount anything.
I'am going to try gentoo's grub then.
