Since you asked!! Making that big of a leap?? I'd save what I could,
then install fresh. My machine went nutz upgrading from 4 to 5. Ain't
done that again, it took a week to recover. Be very careful what
applications you carry old dot-users files from. Sometimes the configs
have changed, so I'd be careful to back up the new to filename.new or
something to that effect then copy your old file over from the backup.
Try it, if it doesn't blow up then use it awhile before erasing the .new
file. Ric
