[Fedora-livecd-list] no /dev/root with newer kernels again

My first guess would be that a change in udev broke the udev rules for
setting up /dev/root.  Are the right modules getting loaded and can you
see the block device in /sys/block?  If so, then are all of the right
entries (other than /dev/root) being set up properly in /dev?

Just getting back from vacation, so haven't spun anything yet today...
but will be getting there before too much longer I hope.
