Hi Alex and Gianluca,

About the unit tests, yes, of course you can count on our collaboration. I find
this issue to be very important and I was assured it will get proper
consideration in the future.

About 2151:
There is a PECL extension that can do the trick

and also a nice article about how to utilize it

I will discuss this with the ZF guys and see how I can further promote it.
Things are a bit busy for me so I am not sure I commit to taking ownership and
writing this ZF component but we'll see :)
I urge you to open an account so we can collaborate in an even more affective
manner :)
