BTW, I'm aware that
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/NamingGuidelines
has the "0.X.20070911" for 'pre-release' packages, but
this isn't pre-release (or a snapshot, or post-release).
The guidelines presume that everyone does "1.0" version formats.

Anyway, let me know which you'd prefer:
1.  0.X.20070911
 because it matches the pre-release format, or
2. 20070911.X%{?dist}
 because it sorts well, or
3. 0.20070911.X%{?dist}
 as a third alternative.

And I'll put it that way.
